Art Heaux is a collaboration between Portland artists Samara Andre and Judi Pacheco that started in 2022. These two friends support each other’s dreams to create spaces that center Black and Indigenous creativity. They curate multifaceted community events centering local BIPOC creatives.
Art Heaux has been a significant steward of the Future Green Plaza, hosting events in the space that uplift BIPOC artsits and creators. In the past, they’ve organized film fests, art markets, and performances at the plaza, and they’re excited to support gatherings and events at the space this year!
