Street Mural Painting w/ Portland Indigenous Marketplace

Join Depave and the Portland Indigenous Marketplace for a street mural painting at the Future Green Plaza! Depave and PIM have been working with various partner organizations to dream up a safer, greener space at the intersection of SE 7th and Sandy Blvd that supports and uplifts Indigenous artists.

We will be painting C’waam (pronounced cha-wam), which is an endangered, bottom-dwelling suckerfish native to the Upper Klamath Basin in Oregon. The design was created by Klamath Tribes member and artist Rowena Jackson.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided! There will be multiple ways to plug in, including helping paint, or volunteering to clean brushes, and distribute, set up, and clean up! Sign up for a painting shift or volunteer shift.
